FOR RELEASE: Immediately
CTS Launches ¡°EMS ExpressSM¡±
Prototyping Service in California
¡¡
Elkhart, IN¡CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS), today announced that its Electronics Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) business in Moorpark, California has launched a rapid prototyping service for its EMS customers called ¡°EMS ExpressSM¡±.
This dedicated new product introduction (NPI) service allows customers to benefit from quick-turn responses for low-volume assembly without having to queue up behind higher volume production runs, adding value to customers looking for reduced time-to-market. The Express Center in Moorpark has dedicated capital equipment and resources to accommodate SMT and thru-hole assembly of Printed Circuit Boards as well as flying probe test, X-ray and automated optical inspection. To date, the Moorpark EMS Express Center has successfully completed 100 prototypes for customers, including those in specialist medical and military sectors.
The additional advantage of this service is the ability to transition seamlessly into volume manufacturing services provided in Moorpark and also at facilities across the U.S. and worldwide. During the NPI process, CTS also provides extensive design services, not only at a product level but also to improve manufacturability and test, providing customers with the opportunity to optimize product efficiency and further reduce cycle times and costs. In preparation for volume manufacturing, CTS develops parallel supply chain, test and manufacturing strategies during the NPI cycle which further reduces costs and cycle times for customers. Moorpark is the third of CTS¡¯ three U.S. facilities to offer the EMS ExpressSM service to customers.
CTS EMS Moorpark provides full turnkey EMS services for customers in the medical, defense, aerospace and industrial sectors. Services include PCB and backplane assembly, box build integration, test support and direct ship.
