CTS Board of Directors Elects
H. Tyler Buchanan Senior Vice President, CTS Corporation
Elkhart, IN…The Board of Directors of CTS Corporation (NYSE:CTS), has elected
H. Tyler Buchanan senior vice president, CTS Corporation effective December
31, 2001, according to an announcement today by Donald K. Schwanz, president
and chief executive officer of CTS. Prior to his promotion Buchanan held the
position of vice president, CTS Corporation. He will have overall operational
responsibility for CTS' automotive sensors and actuators manufacturing operations
worldwide, CTS' resistor/electrocomponents manufacturing operations worldwide,
corporate sourcing and operational excellence. CTS Automotive Products is a
world leader in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of electronic position
sensors and actuators used in automotive powertrain, suspension, fuel system
and emission control systems. CTS Resistor/Electrocomponents is a leading designer
and manufacturer of resistor network, cursor control, DIP switch and variable
resistor products.
Buchanan is a 1974 graduate of the University of North Carolina where he earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Relations. He began his business career with White Consolidated Industries. In 1977, he joined CTS of Asheville, Inc., Asheville, North Carolina, where he held positions in human resources and manufacturing. He progressed through assignments of increasing responsibility at CTS Bentonville, Bentonville, Arkansas; CTS' Electromechanical Group, Elkhart,
Indiana; and CTS Automotive Products, Elkhart, Indiana. In 1997, he was named director of operations for CTS Automotive Products and in 1999, was promoted to vice president and general manager of that CTS facility. In August 2000, the Board of Directors of CTS Corporation elected Buchanan vice president, CTS Corporation.
Mr. Buchanan and his wife Opal reside in the Elkhart area.
