CTS Board of Directors Elects James L. Cummins
Senior Vice President Administration,
CTS Corporation

Elkhart, IN…The Board of Directors of CTS Corporation (NYSE:CTS), has elected James L. Cummins senior vice president administration, CTS Corporation, effective December 31, 2001, according to an announcement today by Donald K. Schwanz, president and chief executive officer of CTS. In addition to Cummins' current human resource responsibilities, he will assume responsibility for corporate facilities management and environmental and health safety management. Prior to this promotion, he held the position of vice president human resources, CTS Corporation.

Cummins is a 1977 graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Finance. In 1980, he received an M.B.A. degree from Indiana University.

Cummins joined CTS in 1977 and steadily advanced in increasingly responsible positions throughout his CTS career, namely, assistant human resource director, CTS Elkhart Division (1979); human resource director, CTS Elkhart Division (1981); human resource director, CTS Electromechanical Group (1990); assistant human resource director, CTS Corporation (1991); and vice president human resources, CTS Corporation (1994).

Mr. Cummins, his wife Karen and family reside in the Elkhart area.
