FOR RELEASE:  Immediately

CTS Chosen by Cameron Health, Inc. to Produce Internal Heart Defibrillator

Elkhart, IN… CTS Corporation (NYSE:CTS), a leading provider of electronics manufacturing services, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Cameron Health, Inc. of San Clemente, California, to produce its next generation of implantable cardioverting defibrillators utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.  This internal heart defibrillator provides improved patient treatment by automatically engaging when there is an interruption in the heart’s arrhythmia.

CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions has collaborated with Cameron Health on the new program from the earlier design phases through the new product introduction.

Dave Hackbarth, Cameron Health vice president of operations commented, “Working with CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions has been a key factor in our bringing our new program to market in half the time it typically takes to launch such a sophisticated product.  Teams from both companies worked side-by-side on some aspects of the design and prototyping, and we were able to avoid many of the unforeseeable problems that can crop up in developing and introducing a medical device of this significance.”

“We are pleased to play an even greater role in such a strategically important new product line for Cameron Health,” said Don Schroeder, CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions president. “By collaborating throughout the design and new product introduction phases, we have been able to achieve the aggressive time-to-market target of this product.  The decision to use CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions to manufacture it demonstrates our ability to add value throughout the product life cycle, starting with the earliest phase of product design,” stated Schroeder.

CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions anticipates that the initial manufacturing phase will commence in the first half of calendar 2006.
