CTS Corporation’s Scotland Facility
Achieves ISO13485 Certification for Medical Manufacturing
Elkhart, IN…CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS), a
leading provider of electronics manufacturing services, announced today that the
Scotland facility of its Electronics Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) strategic
business unit, has successfully achieved ISO13485:2003 certification.
ISO13485:2003 is the international quality management standard for designers and manufacturers of medical devices. CTS actively pursued this certification as part of an ongoing global quality roadmap to meet the needs of customers in the high reliability, high technology medical sector. Scotland is CTS’ first European facility to achieve the accreditation.
Don Schroeder, President of CTS EMS, commented, “The achievement of ISO13485 in the UK means that CTS has successfully obtained ISO13485 status in North America, Asia and Europe - six of our eight facilities are now accredited and we expect to accomplish a seventh in Q1 of next year as part of our strategy to serve customers with a need for higher complexity medical devices and equipment in their home region.
