FOR RELEASE:  Immediately

CTS Corporation Receives IPC Certification for Lead Free Electronics Assembly
Process Capability
at its Moorpark Facility

Elkhart, IN…CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS) today announced that the IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries, has awarded certification to CTS Corporation’s Moorpark, California facility under IPC’s Certification for Lead Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability Program.  CTS is a leading provider of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) worldwide.

Jim McNeil, CTS EMS Director of Engineering and Quality commented, “The IPC certification is an important milestone for CTS as we meet the growing tide of demand for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant products and services worldwide. Our customers rely on us to provide leading edge products and processes. It is critical that we continue to invest in our global operations to meet their expectations.”

“By successfully completing IPC’s certification program, CTS Corporation has realized multiple goals, including validating their lead free processes, demonstrating those capabilities to their customers and improving their existing lead free processes using constructive auditor feedback,” said John Kania, IPC,  Director of Industry Programs.

The IPC Certification for Lead Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability is an audit of an electronics assembly OEM or EMS facility.  The audit determines if the facility is capable of producing product to meet the lead free requirements of the RoHS Directive. The audit is not designed to ensure that a facility will produce RoHS lead free compliant products. The certification program is an excellent way for a facility to validate its lead free electronics assembly process capabilities and to impress upon its customers and suppliers its commitment to excellence.
