FOR RELEASE: Immediately
CTS Commences
Manufacturing Operations in Zhongshan,
People’s Republic of China
Elkhart, IN…CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS) today announced that it has opened a new
manufacturing operation in Zhongshan, located in the Guangdong Province of the
People’s Republic of China. The new facility will be used for production of
various automotive products and electronic components and sensors. Production
is planned to begin in the second quarter of 2007.
The new facility, which includes room for expansion, was necessitated by rapid sales growth in the region. It will replace CTS’ smaller manufacturing operation in nearby Dongguan.
According to
Tyler Buchanan, Senior Vice President, CTS Corporation, “Our Asian automotive
sales are projected to grow from $16 million in 2005 to approximately $70
