CTS Corporation’s piezoelectric technology is featured in a new gaming phone that received an innovation award at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES®) Innovation awards.
ASUS ROG Phone II, a next-generation gaming smartphone, has been named as CES® 2020 Innovation Award Honoree. Besides its impressive hardware, the ROG Phone II utilizes AirTigger II touch sensors technology created by Sentons. The AirTrigger II touch sensors provide virtual buttons on the side of ROG Phone II, providing users unique capability to use specific portions of the side of the smartphone as virtual buttons. AirTrigger II touch is an ultrasonic sensor, where CTS’ piezoelectric components lie at the heart of this technology.
