MTB/MXB Band Pass Filters for X-Band Operation
CTS has added the series MTB and MXB bandpass filters to the company's portfolio of radio frequency (RF) filter solutions.
The series MTB and MXB bandpass filters have been optimized for X-band operation in the 6 - 12 GHz frequency range - which is significantly higher than what conventional ceramic dielectric filters typically provide.
Combined with a high peak to average power ratio handling, the MTB and MXB filters are well suited for both transmit and receive path filtering in linear satellite communications (SATCOM) and short/long pulsed radar applications.
While highly innovative, the filters are constructed similarly to traditional monoblock filters, and consequently do not require exotic materials or advanced processing in order to achieve the X-band performance. The series MTB/MXB utilizes five and six resonators, respectively, and retains the same footprint, allowing developers to keep the same PCB layout across multiple platforms.
