Damage Tolerant Stacks
Piezoelectric multilayer damage tolerant stacks use fuse technology to protect the piezo elements from from short circuit conditions, ensuring operational integrity even when damage is sustained. Damage tolerant stacks from CTS are capable of continued operation even if one or more piezoelectric elements become inoperative, albeit at a lower performance rate. These products are ideal for critical applications where complete loss of function would have catastrophic consequences.
