Introducing the Series 782 Non-Contacting Accelerator Pedal

The series 782 modular, non-contacting accelerator pedal from CTS Corporation

Main Content

CTS Corporation is launching the series 782 non-contacting accelerator pedal for use in electric, hybrid and internal combustion engine vehicles.

The inductive technology renders the series 782 immune to magnetic stray field interference and provides to ASIL B signals which are capable of supporting higher levels of system safety requirements. It is also compatible with either a SENT or an analog communication protocol.

The series 782 accelerator pedal is designed as a modular solution with a common friction and sensing system across all platforms. At the same time, multiple constituent parts of the series 782 can be customized to unique specifications, enabling OEMs to design their own unique pedal solution through a combination of modular and customer-specified components, guaranteed to fit their vehicle system architecture.

This approach will lower implementation expenses for vehicle manufacturers, reduce the amount of tooling required and cut costs for validation. With reduced complexity and a pre-proven technology, manufacturers will spend less time in development and be able to bring their vehicles to market faster.
