Our chassis acceleration sensor is a three-axis, active-damping sensor, designed for all vehicles. Also known as an 'accelerometer', the chassis acceleration sensor converts vehicle acceleration into an electrical signal. The signal data is sent to the vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU) for instant adjustment of suspension systems such as real-time damping, load leveling, and headlight positioning.
Working with other vehicle position sensors to enable a smoother and safer driving experience. Our accelerometer allows for the collection of dynamic positioning and driving information, detecting bumps, potholes, and pitch/roll. This enables the vehicle to adjust individual shock absorbers accordingly for a more premium driving feel and overall safer operation.

We are seasoned developers and manufacturers of automotive sensing solutions, and the chassis acceleration sensor for active damping is designed to meet the technical demands of current and next-gen vehicles.
Using proven automotive technologies, this accelerometer is an affordable and easy-to-implement solution that can be mounted on either the vehicle chassis or hub. Once in place, the chassis acceleration sensor provides single or multi-axis measurements for dynamic driving information, and its flexible mechanical design can easily be adapted to fit a multitude of system architectures.
The sensor can be configured to an active sensing range of either +/-1.6g or +/-16g with a bandwidth of 12.5-1500 Hz. The acceleration data is transmitted in digital output format with a Peripheral Sensor Interface 5 (PSI5) communication protocol, though upon request, other output formats can be accommodated.
The chassis acceleration sensor is a robust accelerometer device with an IP6K9K electronics sealing rating. It is also EMC compliant and fully isolated from external interference. With an operating temperature range of -40ºC to 125ºC, the chassis acceleration sensor will perform even in the most demanding automotive environments, including mud, salt, snow, and gravel.
Our chassis acceleration sensor is part of our Adaptive Driving Sensor Suite, a growing portfolio of precision sensors engineered to deliver real-time feedback for dynamic ride and chassis control in vehicles of all kinds.
Together with our proven Ride Height Sensors (RHS), our suite provides OEMs and Tier 1s with a modular, scalable foundation for advanced vehicle suspension and body dynamics. From electric vehicles to high-performance platforms, our portfolio empowers manufacturers to deliver safer, smoother, and personalized driving experiences.
