At CTS, safety is more than a feature. It is the foundation of everything we engineer. Our latest animation video brings that message to life, showing how our automotive pedals and sensors work together to ensure impeccable control and unquestionable safety for drivers and passengers.

CTS offers vehicle OEMs a complete array of footwell solutions, engineered for safety and built for performance. The offering includes both state-of-the art accelerator and brake pedals as well as accurate position sensors that provide critical feedback information to the vehicle's control systems. Each component reflects our expertise in both contacting and non-contacting pedal technologies. Together, they form a complete, integrated footwell system built around safety, quality and peformance. From smooth acceleration to reliable braking when it matters the most, every product is designed to perform predictably and reliably, helping vehicles respond to driver commands exactly as intended.

Simplifying the Path for OEMs

By offering all major footwell components through a single, unified supplier, CTS simplifies the sourcing and integration process for automotive manufacturers. OEMs benefit from reduced complexity. faster decision-making and seamless sytem compatibility, eliminating the need to coordinate across multiple suppliers.

This one-stop shop approach makes it easier and more convenient for customers to work with CTS, allowing them to bring safer, high-performing vehicles to market.

CTS eBrakeeBrake™ - Brake-by-Wire Pedal

The CTS eBrake™ is a brake-by-wire pedal technology, designed for electronic braking systems (EBS). It utilizes both Hall-effect and inductive sensing to provide redundancy for maximum operational safety. Built using a combination of custom and modular parts, the eBrake™ allows OEMs to seamlessly establish electronically controlled hydraulic brake systems (EHB) in their unique vehicle architectures - removing the need for a mechanical input. The eBrake™ increases design freedom for OEM engineering teams, providing a high degree of implementation flexibility to keep development costs down.

CTS DrivePad accelerator and brakeDrivePad™ - Low-Travel Accelerator/Brake Control

The CTS DrivePad™ is a fully electronic, low-travel pedal pad solution, designed to maximize footwell space. Configurable as either an accelerator or a brake pedal, the DrivePad™ reduces travel distance to a minimum, opening up design room in the vehicle footwell. It can be integrated as a flush-mount or floor-hinged solution to best match unique OEM system designs. The DrivePad™ introduces a premium accelerating and braking feel, that drivers will experience as new, yet familiar, ensuring complete driving safety and comfort.

CTS series 552 accelerator pedalSeries 552 Contacting Accelerator Pedal

The CTS series 552 is a contacting accelerator pedal, suited for all manner of internal combustion engine vehicles - from passenger transportation to heavy-duty vehicles. This well-proven technology operates according to the potentiometer principle, transferring foot movement to an acceleration command through a linear voltage change. The series 552 contacting pedal is a highly reliable aceelerator solution, making it particularly fitting for operation in rugged environments and under harsh conditions.

CTS series 782 accelerator pedalSeries 782 Non-Contacting Accelerator Pedal

The CTS series 782 is an electronic, non-contacting accelerator pedal that utilizes inductive sensing for accurate position detection. Similar to the CTS eBrake™, the series 782 is designed by combining customer-specified components with modular parts, resulting in a customized solution that matches exact specification requirements while keeping costs for validation, tooling and implementation at a minimum. It is also a compact and lightweight pedal solution that will be easy to integrate in vehicle designs of all kinds.

CTS linear pedal position sensors contribute to safety and performance by providing accurate feedback on the status of the pedal - whether pressed, released or somewhere in between -  to the vehicle control unit. The information is critical in enabling multiple safety and ride comfort features as well as optimizing enigne performance, adequately administering fuel or power. With a rich legacy in position sensor manufacturing, our sensor teams can work directly with engineers to package and fit the correct sensor into systems, ensuring that all requirements are met.

CTS throttle position sensorsThrottle Position Sensors

CTS throttle position sensor are rotary sensing devices that help to ensure proper fuel delivery and engine performance based on driver input and operating conditions. Throttle position sensors generate an electrical signal that indicates the angle of the throttle valve and helps calculate proper air/fuel ratios. CTS offers both standard and advanced solutions for automotive needs, and we excel in designing and implementing throttle position sensors for harsh environments, including extreme cold, dirt, debris, and moisture.
